Tractor retreat in Haute Provence.
In the village of Viens (Vaucluse) in the foothills of the the foothills of the Lure mountain, opposite the Luberon, Haute Provence lives to the rhythm of tourism. This is why the village of Viens , which hardly has hardly more than 20 inhabitants in winter , but many more in summer, has long since adapted to this summer manna attracted by the exceptional light but above all by what has made Haute Provence what it is today – lavenderi.e. lavender, cicadas and the gentle way of life that characterizes it.
After wandering through the narrow streets cooled by the summer mistral, I arrive at one of the many village squares where the locals traditionally come to sunbathe when the winter mistral blows its icy air. Amid the limestone facades and ochre renderings, an old multicolored tractor seems to sit there for eternity.
After the first strange impression of this machine as a disruptive disruptive to this harmonious visual balance, a feeling of curiosity arises , prompting one to closer and see that the multiple layers of paint covering of paint covering it are not necessarily functional but rather as artistic decoration.
