I’m a freelance photographer based in France and Thailand. I work freelance with both professional and private clients.

I am also the author of several photo books on various subjects, including sound and light shows. My work has been published in various forms, notably by the renowned BeauxArts Edition.

Over the past 25 years, I have traveled to many countries, including China for a full year.
Now I’m deepening my work by writing articles and photo reports on subjects close to my heart, such as disappearing trades or anthropological subjects.

In a related field close to science and linked to exploration, several trips to the far north are planned. Closer to artistic activities, I continue to work on shooting sound and light shows, which require specific techniques.

Reportage photography

Reportage: a fascinating anthropological and technical exploration.

Reportage photography is a powerful way of telling stories through images. It captures authentic, spontaneous moments that are often impossible to recreate. Unlike posed photos, reportage focuses on raw reality, offering a sincere, unfiltered vision of events.

One of the main benefits of photojournalism lies in its ability to arouse emotions and raise public awareness. By seeing real-life scenes, viewers can immerse themselves in diverse human experiences, be they conflicts, celebrations or simple everyday moments. Each photo becomes a vehicle for emotion and reflection.

What’s more, photojournalism plays an essential role in preserving history. Significant events of the past, from wars to cultural events, are often immortalized by photographers, providing future generations with a direct visual record. Last but not least, photography is also a privileged communication tool for the media and NGOs, who use it to denounce injustice or draw attention to humanitarian causes.

Impressionist-style photography is inspired by the aesthetics of the Impressionist painters, offering a unique and artistic approach to image capture. This style is distinguished by a focus on light effects, vivid colors and fleeting sensations, creating images that evoke a mood rather than a specific subject.

One of the main interests of Impressionist photography is its ability to transcend reality. Rather than focusing on sharp, precise details, this style emphasizes blur, texture and movement, enabling nature and landscapes to be depicted in a more expressive, poetic way. The result is often a dreamlike effect that arouses emotion and leaves room for interpretation.

This style of photography is also appreciated for its experimental and creative side. It invites the photographer to play with techniques such as motion blur, reflections and overprinting, encouraging freer artistic exploration. For the viewer, this provides a different visual experience, far removed from reality, that evokes a particular feeling and atmosphere.

For me, photography in general is an art that goes beyond simply capturing images. Photography tells a story, it’s a reflection of the photographer’s perception of the surrounding world or their imagination, and it’s no different when it comes to photographing sound and light shows. The beauty of the lights dancing to the music, the captivating expressions on the faces of performers or visitors, every detail makes these shows a living canvas for photographers.
