ANVI is first of all a meeting of two creators, Vincent and Anne, animated by a common passion for the art of glass. They have been able to combine their skills and dreams to emerge on the national and even international market. This passion was born from a meeting in Quebec, the fascination for the magic of molten glass and the possibility to create infinite forms from this seemingly fragile material. With their experience and training in glassware, they wanted to stand out by creating unique creations, handmade and marked by a personal touch. The work of art glass is a demanding profession, both physical and technical. Glass is a capricious material that requires total control of the gesture and a thorough knowledge of temperatures, materials and blowing techniques. Working with glass imposes a specific, often restrictive environment. The heat from the ovens is close to 1200°C, making physical work strenuous. Accuracy is essential, because even the slightest mismove or bad temperature control can ruin an entire room. In addition, materials, equipment and the increase in energy costs put additional pressure on glass craftsmen to reconcile artistic quality with economic viability.
The daily difficulties of glass makers.
Glassmakers face constant challenges: the techniques of blowing and modeling are difficult to master and require years of practice, and even more so when it comes to very small pieces such as jewelry.
